Whats with Christmas Shows In Summer!

Well its been a while since the last post, mostly working all the hours there are because that's my job!! So you come home after a hard day and what do you get on the TV? Christmas Specials!!!!!!!!!! IT SUMMERTIME, i don't want to see Christmas, i don't want to hear Christmas songs and I REALLY don't want to see people sat around a tree, what is it with TV companies????

It wouldn't be so bad if it was just one company, but over the last week I have seen 5 Christmas specials....................KEEP CHRISTMAS IN DECEMBER WHERE IT BELONGS!!!

Did see one documentary about some place in called North Pole, think its in Canada or some place in Alaska, where its Christmas every day, all the residents have decorations up all the time and dress up in Christmas stuff like elf's and stuff (this Must be the place where the TV scheduling people come from!!!).

I wonder what the crime rate is in a place like that, how many times a year one of the residents cracks and looses it when someone says "Merry Christmas" to them AGAIN!

I know I would never want to go there, what would possess a person to move there?
anyway that's enough of the ranting, now to news and stuff.

I think I have said in the past that "I LIKE FOOD", well a couple of weeks ago there was a festival of food and drink in a village not far from here, so it being a bank holiday we all decided to go and see what it was all about.

Well there were stalls with free samples and stuff for kids to do and ice cream and stuff, it was superb!

Once we got in and started to walk about the smells of all the food hit you and we started to feel hungry, i was drawn to a stand that sold hot roast beef sandwiches, all i can sat is that it is the best £1.50 I have ever spent, if it wasn't for the fact that is was so filling i would have had another, the boys had hamburgers.

after we had eaten we went for a walk around and had a look at all the stalls, Amie found a chocolate fountain stall so we had some chocolate covers marshmallows and listened to a brass band while we ate.

Maryann and Jon and the kids were waiting in line so that the kids could go on a climbing wall (i have no idea where these kids get this outgoing do anything attitude from, anyone who knew my sister at that age would never believe that they are related!!).

Binnie got on the climbing wall and was half way up before I managed to get a picture!!!!, Elliot (being a little bit shorter ) didn't quite make the top, but for a small kid he gave it a good go.
My mother took Harvey off for a walk around as he was too small to go on the climbing wall and was starting to get a little bit board, as we guessed when they came back they had been eating, its amazing how sweet stuff can take you mind off things, the kids noticed that Harvey had ice cream around his mouth and in his hair and up his arms, so mom took the rest of them to get some.
Amie and i went to have a look at some of the stalls and eat some free samples, had some nice cookies and some smoked deer jerky, not my cup of tea really, nearly ate a soap sample - WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND SELLS SOAP IN A FOOD TENT, AND PUTS OUT SAMPLES!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO WATER AROUND, HOW AM I GOING TO TEST IT!! HOW ABOUT A SIGN NEAR THE PLATE SAYING "THIS IS NOT FOOD"!
Anyway after that the kids when on a bungee ride while we watched a sheep shearing demonstration and then had a cup of tea before we went home, it was a super day out and for once the sun was out!
Any Who, that all from me for now, L8r :-)
